They look nicer than the regular candyshell case. Does it offer some protection?

I have these cases on 2 IP5's and really like them. Very good grip and good protection without too much bulk. Highly recommend.

I have a white/black one on my white iPhone 5. It's the perfect case, imo. Slim, protective, great grip, looks and functions great.

I have the black Candyshell Grip and gotta say, it's my fave case at the moment!

The Grip case is actually a lot slimmer than the standard Candyshell case plus the fact that it offers great protection and 'grippiness' due to the rubber grips on the back. The buttons offer great tactile feedback, when pressed, as well.

IMHO the only one negative which I have about the case, is that the glossy part of the back of the case (right down the middle of the case from top to bottom) is very prone to scratching and on the black version, this shows up quite a bit. Other than that - a great case.

I have posted some pics - not great quality as I took them on my iPad!!

If anything it is easier to take off this case with the iPhone 5 than it is with the 4/4s. Don't worry about bending it.

That looks nice. The black/red looks good too but very pricey

I'm using the Incipio Faxion which has the full cutouts on the bottom. Question - does the candyshell grip reduce or distort the sounds or mic due to the plastic grill? I like the design but concerned about speaker/mic

Hey, I have both the white/black and black/slate and both are wonderful! I had a regular candyshell a few days ago, but returned that. It's like these are made at different factories with different materials. The plus's of the grip are rounded corners (feels slimmer than regular candy shell), moderate grip. 1 small difference I noted is that the black/slate one I have was manufactured in Taiwan while the white/black was made in China. Overall, I like both, but I'm only keeping the black/s;ate b/c I think it looks better on the black iP5.

My boyfriend has one and I like it better than my regular Speck Candyshell. For some odd reason it actually makes the phone seem smaller and it is definitely easier to handle and less boxy feeling.

I bought a black/slate grip last Monday and it's already scratched all to hell. It shouldn't be because I don't even lay my phones down on hard surfaces the overwhelming majority of the time.

Will the white/black or white/harbor blue cases scratch as easily?

Well, all of the candyshell's scratch up somewhat in my experience with a 3G and an iPhone 4 case.

The fact that you can usually buy them for $12 makes this a moot point as you can just toss the case after a few months if it bugs you too much.

They charge $35 (rip off) from the official site, but I've seen them on Amazon for $11-$15.
