Have anyone heard anything when the new update to OS/X will be coming?
We now have 10.5.6 but 10.5.7 is due out soon. Has anyone heard anything about it?

It should be soon. The only known problem area is Safari at the moment.

My best bet, this week or next week. There are no issues remaining. Safari thing is not an issue with 10.5.7, it's an issue with Safari, Apple just needs to release a newer version of Safari 4.0 beta.
