I bought two phones and was charged two $36 upgrade fees... What an outrageous charge. It adds no value of any kind, I am paying for nothing... Its basically just a gratuitous overcharge.

They subsidize the phone from $599 to $199 then charge you $36 on top... Why not just subsidize the phone down to $235 then? Its just a blatant money grab with no value.

Anyone have any luck getting them to waive this fee after the pre-order has been made? I made it through Apple.com... Are there any valid reasons that are likely to help me or am I stuck with this?

I agreed to it and will pay it but if there is a way to weasel out of it I would like to out of principle.
