Anyone have experience with the new iPad (Verizon) and hotspot feature?

I was wondering if any of the new Verizon iPad owners have any experience yet with the hotspot feature. As I await my iPad, I was hoping to hear of good experiences!

Tried it, it worked. Benchmark of the tethered iPhone was about 85% of the iPad3.

It showed up as a regular Wi-Fi network on my iPhone. Are you sure the hotspot is active? It displays a notification along the top.

I'm in upper Manhattan, and right now I'm getting speeds of about 9MBps on LTE (up and down). However, when I run SpeedTest Net on my iPhone 4S tethered to it, it peaks there, but then seems to slow down to about half that.

I'll be trying it out in Midtown next week.
