Anyone have issues turning off iphone 6 plus

I dont get the slide to unlock option anymore. When I hold down the power and home button, it simply restarts rather than giving me the slide to turn off option. Also when the battery dies, it doesnt have the battery too low to turn and attach charger instead icon anymore

To turn it off, just hold the power button down. Holding the power and home together is a hard reset, and it's supposed to reboot.

Agree this is kind of annoying, but need to pay attention. Adjusted the volume many times by accident. not the best design maybe?

They seem to have made the volume the choice that will happen if you press both at the same time. It's annoying, but I think the phone going to sleep all the time when you want to change volume would be even more annoying. I wish the power button was higher on the side.
