The day I joined ATT I used a referral off a member... Registered on the website on Jul 11th. In July I gave 3 referrals to other members and all ended up saying Verifying. About 2 weeks ago I get an email saying I did not qualify for any of the referrals as my account had been canceled. I logged in on the referral website and all my referrals show Denied - Referrer Account Cancelled

I've sent multiple help questions to ATT via the website since they do not have a phone number and the last message I received today stated the following:

Dear Chris,
We recently reviewed your referral reward request and regret to advise that you do not qualify for a reward because you registered for the Refer-A-Friend program before activating your AT&T service.

Your Activation Date: Monday August 11, 2008
Your Registration Date: Friday July 11, 2008

Total BS. The only thing that changed on Aug 11, was a phone number port on my account, and I told them this in my email. So if you port your number you get screwed, and the people you refer get screwed also.

When I contacted ATT about porting my number I asked them if my referral status would change at all, and they said that it shouldn't matter. So here I am with $100 out of pocket.

Anyone else have this issue, and what can be done to resolve it. I want the people I referred to get their money and what I'm entitled too.

Thanks
Chris
