I'm considering buying either an M2 Pro (12 Core) 32GB RAM 1TB SSD Mac Mini or M2 Max (12/30) 64GB RAM 1TB SSD. The Studio offers significantly better external monitor support but I hate the form factor. I would prefer the Mac Mini form factor if the 12 core model can handle 3 4K monitors with ease. I do tend to have about 40-50 Chrome tabs open and my current 64GB 2019 5600m 16" Intel MBP doesn't skip a beat. Will I experience something similar with the fully spec'd Mini or should I upgrade to the Studio? No gaming. No video editing. Just coding, Zoom/Teams calls and 3 4K monitors.

Does anyone know if running Jupyter Notebooks (Python), SQL or Airflow causes the fans to spin up?
I also came across this and I see that the answer seems to be, "it depends."
