Anyone have this problem with corruption of data?

So I was transferring movies and images to an external hard drive that is formatted as NTSC using Paragon, and I noticed the other day that an image was corrupted (see sample images below - top are how the should look, bottom are images that were transferred to the external drive). I thought it was a rare occurrence until I realized a whole bunch of images were corrupted. I'm wondering if anyone has had a problem like this. Could it be an issue with Paragon? I'm not sure if images I've saved just to my laptops hard drive also become corrupted.
