I have a 4GB mini, when I put it in the SHUFFLE SONGS mode and then try to click ahead a few songs I get a low battery error and have to restart the ipod.

I sent it in to Apple for repair once they returned it without doing anything saying there was nothing wrong with it.

it does work normally in other modes, I updated the firmware. The battery life doesn't seem very good, I get about 6 hours on one charge, the backlight is hardly ever on.

Is that six hours of playtime? I don't think six hours is all that bad.

All the same, I guess you could try calibrating your iPod's battery (if you haven't already) by completely discharging it and then completely charging it up again. :)

I think six hours is pretty low, the battery is rated for 12 hours. I know I wont get that but I was hoping for about 8-9 hours. I drained the battery then recharged it fully, same results.

I sent it to Apple again, hoping they will find and fix the problem.
