Anyone have this start up feature?

Just now, the past 2 times I have turned on my macbook. The folder under application which I named my computer after is always open.

If what I'm saying doesnt make sense. What I'm referring to is:
If you click applications, under the "places" side bar. The 2nd bar/tab which is called what ever I named my computer. That tab will just pop up and be open. The one that contains all my folders such as "desktop", "documents", "downloads", "movies", "pictures" etc.

Why is this happening. Is this something new or is something not right?

That is the Home folder, that is not the name of your Mac (which can be set in System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name).
Does it only happen when you restart?
Why don't you just sleep the Mac?
