I have iCloud with Apple and all that but also access Amazon Drive and Photos a lot too. Anyone else having issues accessing their Amazon Photos or Drive Accounts today?

I keep getting in Amazon Drive a "Something went wrong, please refresh the page in your browser and try again". Photos just won't load. Either in app or web.

Amazon chat just said "We have a known issue and our technicians are working on it to fix it at the earliest." They asked me to try again 24 hours. Yikes!

Literally still happening, I have never been able to access the Amazon Photos App or Website without constant errors here in Melbourne.

Are we sure this isn't a permanent issue for some specific users and Amazon never actually fixes it?

Are users experiences this issue have similar issues on setting Alexa Echo Devices to display photos from Amazon Photos?

Yes; I'm having the same issues within the browser and with the iPhone app. Known issue apparently; started yesterday at some point. I can't access my Trash or create an album properly.

Amazon Customer Support just confirmed widespread outages, this is going on for quite a while now.

The problem is still on-going today for Amazon Photos and Drive.

I just got off chat with a CSR. I also suggested to them that they have some sort of online status like Apple has for their services. I realized these are likely consumer-grade services... but nonetheless, some folks may have business docs and frankly who cares what type of user uses it, stuff should work and there should be a place where customers of any type can go on and see what is working and what isn't... case in point: https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

Amazon needs to have a status portal and it's amazing to me that they don't.

Thanks y'all for following up on this... I was running into this issue since yesterday... and based on my devices I was getting different responses. Good to know its not only me lol.

Wanted to back up some of my most recent pictures from the cloud but I was putting it off... well this gave me more incentive to get it done ASAP. Seems like the download/backup function is working via my Mac app

I just spoke with one of their reps and told them the exact same thing. The problem I'm having here is that ONE of my Echo Show devices has suddenly lost the ability to show photos from my Amazon Photos library -- the other works fine. Trying to do anything through their web site results in plenty of the "Something went wrong" errors and there is no way to select the photos to re-display on the problem Echo Show.

I also let the guy know that when they make changes to how things behave, they need to tell people first. This "we've changed how everything works and now you have to muddle through it" mess doesn't cut it.

My trust level dropped significantly and between this issue (plus the lack of communication) and the fact that they cut 3rd party apps accessing the images (it silently broke my local backup sync) I am 100% sure I will be migriting away from them. Two strikes....not going to wait for the third one.

As soon as this is back up I'm 100% dumping Amazon Drive / Photos / whatever it's called now. Their lack of keeping customers informed during the outage has me to the point I'm out after about 5-6 years using their stuff.

Good thing we have this forum to tell us when stuff is up or down lol. Again, 0 communication from Amazon.

Just got an email from Amazon finally.

“Dear Amazon Photos Customer,

We apologize for any inconvenience caused to you. Please do not hesitate to contact uswith any questions.

In Applications find Amazon Photos.app and rename it Amazon Photosapp.old. Now the Amazon Photos app installer should work. The Amazon Photos.app may have been corrupted and the installer won't work because it sees a version installed. Renaming it causes the installer to think it's not installed
