Hi,
I bought an iMac 17" (1.25 Ghhz) less than a month ago and I have a problem that started 2 days ago. For some reason everytime I restart my computer, I got an error message telling me the system does not recognize whatever is plug to my speakers jack. The message is usually displayed about a minute after I have logged into the computer. Up to that point, the volume control keys don't work. But after that, everything seems Ok even without clickling OK to the message, which BTW suggestes to unplug and re-plug the speakers properly. The speakers are plug properly but as I said, even if it works after that, it is just not normal to have such an error message displayed, specially on a brand new computer.
