Anyone having trouble with their external HDD after software update?

My 1TB external HDD won't connect to my iMac or my MPB.
It will show up for a second or two when I connect it, disappear and then give the 'disk not ejected properly'-message.

Anyone else having this problem?

I don't have any problem with my WD 320GB MyPassport.
I am running 10.6.4. ( If that is the software update that you are referring to)

You better check your cable connection. Do you have any problem using this drive on the bootcamp?
