I got the iphone 3gs on contract & it was fine, problem started when i pac ed my number over, had to wait 5 days for o2 to get it right & since today when it is supposed to be working , the signal is awful, usually says searching or no service & even when i had a signal its usually 1 bar & i havent being getting calls or making them without it cutting out.

I have posted a help message in the iphone help board but i think more people are in this one & im sick of having no phone & now a crap signal.

O2 guy advised a network settings restore, didnt help & also a full iphone restore didnt help. He then said it must be the iphone, i said no it was fine. Then he wanted me to get yet another sim & pac it over but i really think the problem is down to their process of changing the number over, the really hashed it up from the beginning but he wouldnt even entertain that idea.

Version 3 on a 3g and a 3gs has a worse signal than 2.2.1. Hopefully 3.1 will solve this.
