I’m thinking about moving from my 13 mini to se 2022.
My previous phone was the 8 and I loved it.
Really love the screen size home button and rounded edges.
Although the mini is small it’s not a small phone experience.
My only drawbacks from the se 22 is the battery and MagSafe which I use to mount in my car.

Some one made this transition and can share the experience?
You loved it or regret it?

You can buy a MagSafe ring from Amazon and put it on the phone or case. Don’t know what to tell you about battery life. You can always get a battery charger.

It’s fine. iPhone 13 Mini is a much better iPhone IMO, but iPhone SE is perfectly serviceable and better than expected if you prefer the home button and form factor.

I actually have both phones. The Mini has slightly better battery life & camera, but overall I prefer the SE 22 b/c of touch ID & the LCD screen. I really just love the "old" design too. Battery life is perfectly fine for normal usage though, the only times I had issues were during battery-intense things like GPS or pokemon go. I've bought these magsafe stickers a few times now, they basically turn any case into a magsafe case - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MDY421H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Personally I don’t use a MagSafe anymore because it fried the battery life of my 12 mini because of the high wattage. I only use the 5 watt now for any phone

There is something about playing games on the older screens…. More saturated? Just a different look? Nostalgia?

I would probably rather have a mini as my daily driver, though.

The SE’s also don’t play as well with AirTags, right?

13 mini to SE 2020. I totally don't like it - battery is like 40-60% worse, body is bigger and slick like a wet soap.
Overall can't wait to get back to 13 mini. Only Pro is that i can pay with Apple pay without even looking at my phone thanks to touch id.

I’m considering either the 13 Mini or newest SE as my next phone. The Mini is better in most ways but I really really really want Touch ID. I also like that the SE has a big bezel which I find useful for handling the phone in many situations, and a shorter screen which is better for one-handed use. But to me those are minor annoyances compared to giving up Touch ID. Still undecided.
Bummer they’re both still too big for me and don’t have a headphone port which I need when recording audio.

When I decided I was tired of carrying my huge 13PM last spring and desired a smaller phone I purchased a 22SE for both the lower price and smaller form factor. The experience for me was sub par with poor battery life and the home button experience. I went from an 8+ to a 12PM to let the Face ID tech mature plus I liked the home button. You know, old school phone experience. My first iPhone was the 3GS.

I returned the SE and went with a 13 Mini with the wallet to use as my DD and haven't looked back. It is a much better experience with better battery life, better screen real estate, cameras and so on.

Honestly, I would recommend getting an Apl watch to compliment your 13 Mini phone as many of the things U may find frustrating can be accomplished with the watch especially if you listen to music using AirPods, use Apl pay, unlocking the phone and other things. This allows you the freedom from having to constantly be reaching for the phone itself.

AS always YMMV.
