Anyone here that uses an external firewire hdd to extract movies instead of the 2.5" hdd in your mbp?? I just did it and using a firewire 800 external hdd with a 1tb seagate and I can tell you it extracts it very very fast! Now a good solution instead of using a macpro to extract the files, I can use the mbp and connect it to the firewire 800 and transfer over the whole folder into the 1tb drive and extract it through that drive and its much faster and no more lagging or color wheels on the mbp!! Finally, now I can sell my mac pro! =D
