Its good, but I often am reduced to sub-ethical methods of viewing, because I don't want to buy the DVDs only to watch once, and they are hardly available on UK Freeview.

Your friend's video is good, but being a film buff, I would have prefered...

Michael 1: Simple long one
Peter 1: Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do from Sound of Music
Michael 2: Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Finale: Dueling Banjos from Bonnie and Clyde.

And I used to love the Family Guy, until I saw the South Park that pointed out the sad truth, that most of the humor is completely unrelated to the plot. Still getting over that one, kind felt ripped off, you know? Like the time a was mugged in the john by Michael Bolton...

I don't know. That didn't bother me at all. I always knew that it had pointless flashbacks that have nothing to do with the already nonexistant plotline. It's just a funny TV show, and thats all.

Wait a minute...you had to watch the South Park episode to realise that the humour comes from flashback scenes which are unrelated to the storyline? Surely that's pretty obvious from just watching a single episode?!?!

Anyway, Family Guy is great. There's a video of Seth MacFarlane doing the Harvard graduation speech (or something like that) where he gives a pretty witty response to the South Park boys. Its definitely worth watching.

However, I love South Park as well. And Seth Macfarlane has proved that he can do comedy relating to the storyline with American Dad anyway.

Yeah, I'm sure I noticed it before, just one of those things that gets more annoying after people point it out to you. For example, it's like having an ugly wife and after about 50 people telling you that your wife is ugly, you just want to turn to her one night in bed and say "Hey, can you stop being so damn ugly, because if you could...that would kinda help me out, ok?"

American Dad is horribly unfunny.

It has it's moments, you just have to remember to TiVo (or tape it) and not watch it between The Simpson and the Family Guy. Watch it after a Lifetime movie and it's comedy gold!
