I have one of these 30" Apple Cinema Displays – one of the last before Apple discontinued it – that very recently stopped working: someone switched the light on in our studio and the monitor suddenly just turned off and wouldn't come back to life.

The small white light on bottom right corner does not turn on, but power adapter still makes a buzzing noise. Have swapped with other power cables, so it's not the fuse. It's either the power adapter or the monitor that is no longer working.

Apple Retail refused to help as it's a 'vintage' item and MacSmiths of Hackney suggested throwing it away. :(

Would anyone who has one of these displays in London, UK or nearby (even outside M25) be so kind as to connect with me at trqchw[at]gmail.com? Would be great to swap the power adapter and display in turn to check where the problem might be, so I can at least decide whether it's worth pursuing a repair or not. Wouldn't take 10 minutes...

(Serial number of mine is CY0280TMXMP

Thanks in advance!
