I purchased my 17" MBP Unibody on Jan 6th here in NY.

My specs were:
Glossy Screen
320GB 7200RPM HDD
4GB Memory
iWorks '09 Pre-Installed

I heard many people's laptop has shipped, some whose date is after mine. I noticed many of them are from outside the US. Has anyone within the US with these specs (or similar) shipped already? What date did you order?

Thanks.

Hi, as a more straight-forward answer to your question:

I live in Poughkeepsie, NY

Ordered: January 6th
Credit Card Pre-Authorization: February 2nd
Prepared for shipment: February 15th
SHIPPED: February 16th 7:07am EST
Credit Card Charged: February 16th
Touchdown in US: February 17th

I should be getting it tomorrow most likely. This is the non-stock configuration with 2.93ghz and 7200rpm HDD plus some software and AppleCare.

I think we should start a new thread. The delivery dates thread is too long, having gone for over a month. This should be a shipped/arrived thread to take over the old one's job which was to post the expected delivery dates.

but LOADS of people still haven't received their one yet so it's good to still have it and keep track of everyone/your own order!

When I ordered a 15" MBP two years ago, I originally requested Aperture preinstalled. I found out that this meant the machine was sent from Shanghai to Cali, where they would install Aperture, and then to me (in NYC).

Needless to say, I canceled the order and installed Aperture myself! Lesson learned. Might be different with iWork since it's likely to be a much more common upgrade. I still would not order any of this preinstalled. YMMV.

BTW... It took like 2 days from Shanghai to NYC in my case, then.
