of the Leopard install disc for a Macbook Pro? I just put a new hard drive in my MBP because the old one died (out of warranty) but I can't find my restore discs! I'm legally licensed for Leopard since that's what my MBP shipped with when I bought it, so I shouldn't have to spend $120 to buy another copy.

Thanks!

You should contact Apple Support. They can send you replacement disks. Burning a copy is a copyright violation.

You would also take the machine to an Apple Store and they can loan you a disc or install it for you there. They are usually pretty nice about it.

It's heartening to see someone who wouldn't contemplate illegally downloading it on a torrent. Still honest people in the world. Hallelujah!

It's been my experience that Apple users don't go around "losing" install disks normally.
My dad did, someone threw his MBP box away accidentally, along with all the CD's.

We had to call up Apple and order a new set for like $20(?) since we live 6 hours away from the nearest Apple center.

So yes it does happen.
