Anyone just going to the apple store to buy a 4S?

I'm just gonna go to one of the 2 apple stores in town on the Saturday and probably stand in line for one. Screw pre ordering since it's estimating 1-2 weeks, it'll probably be 2 weeks.

Who else is gonna wing it?

Is there not a way to pre-order without paying? I did that for the iPhone 4 last year here in the UK. I didn't realise there'd be such a long line at the Apple Store and ended up waiting three hours, even with a pre-order.

This year I just bought the iPhone 4S unlocked direct from Apple for home delivery. I'd recommend doing the same if you can.
