The Glims plugin does this, but the plugin itself was causing horrendous other problems affecting and slowing down my browsing experience. I had to uninstall it. But that means no more favicon tabs, unless there is another plugin or means that will do this? anyone

I came across to this topic because I searched 'safari 5 favicon tab glims' on Google.
I've got the same question as the OP, so I'd like to give it a bump.

----------

By the way, after upgrading to Safari 5.1 (still using Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8), I found that Glims won't work with it, and the 'ClickToFlash' (http://clicktoflash.com/) won't work either.

Instead, the 'ClickToFlash' found in the Safari Extensions Gallery, of course, works with Safari 5.1, so I deleted the 'ClickToFlash' found on http://clicktoflash.com/.
