There is no crystal ball, no one knows the 2012 is bringing to the iMac. But maybe someone out there with Ivy Bridge knowledge may have an idea how things are laid out.
I've been waiting for Ivy Bridge forever, but want the customizations offered by OWC -- maxed out RAM and a 6G SSD (possibly eSATA too). I do NOT want to pay Apple's obnoxious customization prices--may as well buy a Mac Pro.
If the new iMac's come out and such customizations are no longer possible (like the new rMBPs) than all this waiting would be pointless. But if it is possible, does anyone have speculation on how long it will take OWC to teardown and make customizations possible?--because that date is the date I'm really waiting for.
EDIT: Not sure why I didn't do this in first place. But I just called OWC and spoke to Tech Support and they said they have the teardown in the first 24-48 hours but it would take a some weeks before services were available.
