like the title says ^^
I haven't seen anything about it, which seems strange. After the one-day 20% off iPhone 5 sale at Virgin Mobile last month, I thought for sure we'd see the 5C at least. But so far nothing about Virgin carrying the 5C in the US, just Canada & elsewhere.
They did get the iPhone 5 late, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them stuck with plain 5 for a while -- not that that really matters, as 5 and 5C are the same danged phone. Still, after having seen Virgin sell the iPhone 5 for 20% off just a few weeks back, I'm not game to shell out full price today to get burned in a week or two.
It's a weird place Virgin's stuck themselves that doesn't especially encourage any iPhone purchases. AT&T actually has decent plan prices and "free" financing
if you don't pay $20/month for texts and can sip your data -- $60 a month with an iPhone 5
S for $200 isn't as much more than Virgin's $30 a month and $550 up front as I thought it'd be (though, okay, fine, it's still
$370[1] for the privilege of having an S at launch). That said, I might regret not having bought from Virgin during the one-day sale.
[1] $550 for 5 at Virgin vs $200 for 5
S at AT&T means $350 "savings" on phone from AT&T.
$30/mth for service at Virgin vs $60/mth for service at AT&T means $30 * 24 = $720 savings for Virgin on service.
720-350 = 370 extra for 5S with two years of service. Course every month past that, Virgin continues to spank AT&T prices.
