As the title says because they look the same to me. I just want to know what I’m missing out on!

It looks like the base on the Apple version is possibly a little wider and has cutouts for the hooks which I’m guessing lets it fold more compactly, but as a whole they appear to be basically the same. I ordered the Apple version last night and will let you know my thoughts once I receive it.

Thanks I appreciate that!

Anyone know if the Apple version of this stand has the 'Satechi' logo on the base?
Yes, my Apple.com ordered on has white "SATECHI" white on the base near the front. I didn't even see it until the post prompted me to look. I really haven't used it much, but it seems very stable in landscape mode. In landscape mode I'd keep the bottom of the iPad Pro 12.9" close to the stand's base plate, otherwise it does get a backwards tippy. Frankly, I don't know why anyone would use it in portrait mode, tipped that far back, unless you were standing and it was on a table. For sitting, in front of desk, with my caveats, it is a very good stand.

FYI I just ordered this laptop stand to use on a desk where I'll be placing it in front of two monitors for my MacMini M1. The low angle, I hope will prevent blocking the screen.
