I'm not sure how to reproduce steps to always show this widget that appears in the lock screen and notification screen on the iPhone.

It's basically (I guess) a compact live activity proximity widget that shows what's airing on my Apple TV.

This one specifically is for the living room but if I move to the bedroom I usually get that Apple TV one.

The point is I don't know why sometimes it disappears on its own... then it comes back but I'm usually unable to reproduce the steps to force it to appear.

I like it because I don't need to have the Apple TV selected, it dynamically moves to whatever Apple TV I'm using, and because it's compact but has everything I may need (airing information, speakers used, remote control etc).

The few things I try to make it appear are (but not aware if are of any help pr not):

1) select the Apple TV and then revert to iPhone on the airplay menu
2) on the TV app settings toggle on/off allow live activities and allow more frequent update
3) lock/unlock iPhone and tap on the notification screen.

Anyone also uses this?

Thanks ^^

… that’s a live activity. You enable it from the remote app itself.

Additionally my friend you can verify if the app is allowed to use live activities (dynamic island and notification center widgets) by doing the following:
Settings > Apps > and scroll to the Apple TV remote app, tap on it.

Make sure this setting I circled it is turned on (in the example i shown below 👇 with Nike Run Club app).

You also should ensure no Focus settings prohibit live activities in any way.

My apologies, I had forgotten that the Apple TV app now includes a remote control. In the previous version of iOS, you had to download a separate app from the App Store to use the remote control. So, you’re correct.

Additionally, you can use the Control Center on your iPhone to turn on the Apple TV remote:

My only issue is that the live activity widget is not consistent... it comes and goes. That's I was wondering if there was anything else I could do, but apparently this is it.

If the widget for the lock screen (where you long-press on an empty area to change the styles or wallpaper) is not available, unfortunately, it will only be live activity.

These widgets can be turned on in the app, unlike when you use widgets on the lock screen. They won’t require you to use the app to add them (except for configuring them).
