I'm contemplating getting a used iPhone 4 right now. The plan is, grab the iPhone 4 now, and use it on either T-Mobile (which I have now) on EDGE or sign with AT&T off-contract. I'll keep it for a while, and grab whatever comes out next in due time after the release. I'll have the 4 as backup if the new one is good, and I wouldn't be on a contract if the 4 suits my needs. Also, I sort of want to "test drive" AT&T before signing a contract. Spending a month's worth of service would beat having to shell for an ETF if I don't like AT&T.

I want to deal with someone local. I want to look at the phone before buying it, making sure there aren't any major scratches, etc. My current Nexus One suffers from the SIM slot periodically failing. The battery is also on its last legs and I'd rather put the money towards an iPhone over a new Nexus battery.

If you have an iPhone that's been case-babied, I have cash for you. Inbox me and we can meet up at a Starbucks or something.
