My roommate was told by the Apple store employees to get a trial .mac account and not to worry when they changed it to .me because it would get transfered over. (He wanted to use the .mac address) He upgraded the trial account to a full account but a couple of weeks later his .mac email address stopped working. MobileMe support said he lost the .mac address and can only use .me because he didn't convert it until after MobileMe went live. Has anyone else experienced this with trial memberships? I just find it strange because I would have thought it would get transfered even if it was still under trial so he could still use it when it went to a full account.
