Anyone modify their Marware CEO Hybrid cover?

I just bought the Marware CEO Hybrid case for my iPad 3. I really like it, except for how hard it is to open the case when you fully close it. Has anyone modified their case so it doesn't lock so tightly, or doesn't lock at all? I would imagine it 3would be fairly easy to do, but wanted to see if anyone had done it to theirs before I rip out the pliers.
