I preordered my 4S and 5 in the past, but this time, I'm not so sure.

I'm almost positive that I will get the 6+ because I like really big phones, but I still want to hold both 6 and 6+ to see which I like better.

I also have no idea what color I want. I love the black front of space grey, but the gold seems to be calling my name. I want to see those in person too.

So, this year, I think I will skip the preorder party, as much as I will miss tracking my phone on the forums with everyone else.

Anybody else feel this way?

As much as I've wanted a bigger iPhone for a long time, I decided to wait until it comes out to make decision. I've held onto my iPhone 5 for 2 years now (I used to change phones every year) and I'm not sure why, but I'm not too excited about the iPhone 6 nor 6+

Preordering so I can see it in person, and if I don't like it (very slim chance) I'll return it. No restocking fee in the UK.

Though I'm getting the 4.7" so I am going to keep it. I've already decided the 5.5" is too big (made some cutouts with the same dimensions and it's too big for my needs).

If you Live In Australia,

Not likely!

Apple Australia
4.7" $869 AUD ($784USD) 5.5" $999 AUD ($912USD)

Apple USA
4.7" $199 USD 5.5" 299 USD

Might upgrade my 3GS to a 5S if I can get the right price

I'm waiting too….

I'm not excited because nothing good has happened with the design of the phone since the 3. A few upgrades in software…..big deal….I hate the shape and feel of the 4/5. Every year I was so hoping they would go back to a similar design of the 3 or iPad. The 6 is finally different and hopefully feels better in the hand. I was afraid to hold my 5 without a case unless I wanted to drop it all the time :p

But I am a little excited :D

Yes I think I will wait to see in store too. Might even wait til the Edinburgh Apple Store opens as I like the idea of being able to buy something from it when it opens (Should be open in next 4-6 weeks).

If the Edinburgh store was open for launch I might have pre-ordered the 6 and 6 plus and decided on the day.

It was an easy decision last year between the 5c and the 5s. This year not so simple for me and then I wonder if I should stick with the 5s and get a :apple:WATCH instead. I usually always get on launch day except for the iPhone 4 which I didn't plan to get until I seen the retina display and fell in love!

I'm waiting until I can see them. I'm standing in line on launch day so I can hold them.

I'm leaning to 5.5", but I'm not sure that thing is a behemoth ... It's HUGE... I like them both

I feel the same way. I've always been excited for the new device but this time around I'm not feeling the buzz and might consider saving $700 instead.

I'm super excited this year.
This looks like a great upgrade and not just because of the bigger screen. But the phone is beautiful, not digging the camera lens though.
I am ordering the 4.7. I am sure the 5.5 will be big for my tastes, I'm not a fan of the Note line and the 5.5 seems to be along that line. However some of the software stuff the 5.5 has really interests and me and almost pulled me in.

Yes….why would they allow the camera lens to protrude? Do other phones do that? That seems so odd to me. Especially on such a drastic re design

Yeah, I'll be wanting to see hands on reviews and what it's like in person before I consider buying this one.

NFC sounds good, but it'll be years before it works properly in the uk.

Bigger screen I'm not sure about, reason that I need to see it in person. :p

Longer battery life is a plus, but reviews will tell the truth on that.

128gbs is something I really want, so that may sway me.

Camera in my opinion doesn't really seem much of an upgrade, just faster auto focusing as far as I can tell.

Also, I'm not that keen on curved glass, it looks really glossy, maybe it will look okay in real life, but I think the 5s is way more sexy.

I made some cardboard cutouts that I feel gave me a fair enough representation to confidently make my selection...

The $199/$299 if you do a contract for 2 years, which adds $40/month to your bill.

$199 + $960 ($40X24months) + TAX (8.5-9% from retail price in California)
or
$299 + $960 + TAx

So I guess socialist Australia is better.
