I've flipped between 15" and 17" MBPs for years, but never before have I noticed such a striking difference between sound quality on a 17" vs. a 15". Had a 2.8Ghz 17", went to an i7 15" and found the sound incredibly weak. It could barely fill a hotel room. Moved back to a 17" i7 today and it's incredibly better, fuller and louder. Just an observation.

The 17" has always been this way. My Late 06 17" has amazing speakers for a laptop, better than any laptop I've come across (and had the opportunity to test).

What other reasons made you go back to the 17"?

Did you order the hi-res or AG, how's the font size?

Last question :) How do you find the 17" for traveling or do you have a 13" or use your iPad only for that?

Thanks!
