Im not clueless but currently swamped at work and unable to take the time and get a card flashed , plus I dont have a non-ati card in my Mac Pro.

Is there anyone reputable that would flash my card for a fee? Whatever card you recommend I will pick up.

PM me here and I will get back to you. The prices on ebay are just rediculous for cards that cost 150 at newegg.

Thanks alot

i'll always help, you should be able to buy any 4870 / 4890 card. afaik all cards ppl have bought we have got to work. worst thing that can happen is that you get a popup at boot saying Power Cable is not connected, just a visual bug, card still works gr8.

for 4890 check out my Thread. if you have ATI cards in the Mac Pro atm, you have two choices. a) upload your rom and I will make custom injector so you can boot with only the 4890 inside. b) wait for my new flashing tool that can flash even if you have several ATI cards inside the Mac. (releasing next week).

here are cards you can keep an eye out for:

when you get the card, dump rom with GPU-Z in windows and upload in my 4890 thread.

Hi Cindori!

Is it possible to flash factory overclocked cards like Sapphire Vapor-X HD 4890 1GB OC or same card with 2 GB too?

Thanks in advance!

I have a 4870x2 in my current pc box , it would be nice if that could be flashed.

Hey guys , what brand of cards seem to have the best performance?

Im mainly using my card for PC gaming , Final Cut Pro , basic video editing tools.

4870x2 can be run using injectors. only 1 core though, so same performance as 4870.

brand really does not matter.

Thanks

Thanks Cindori ,

Hey guys what brands do you think has the best cooling? XFX looks decently cooled.

Im not picky and in no rush as I already have a genuine 3850 running in my machine.
