Anyone feeling remorse or has a desire to flip colors? One of the struggles I am thinking of is Silver vs Purple. I know Silver will definitely look good, but then the purple feels special and hides the cameras better.

Nope. I've had gold for the last 4 years and black every year before that. Looking forward to the Deep Purple for a change. I should have did Sierra Blue last year because that's a terrific looking color too. No regrets this year.

Silver or Space black were my only two I would consider.. I went with Silver because I have a Graphite 12 pro and need a change.. Plus the best looking phone I have owned was my silver XS with the white back..

Absolutely not! Silver and white would be my only color if I had the choice. I liked it on the old iPhones and I'm excited it's back!

Pretty much have always went with black, and that's what I did this time too, but now I'm kind of wishing I'd ordered the Purple instead...Wish they had Alpine Green available again for 14 Pro.

I've had black, space gray, jet black, product red, and green. Perfectly happy to move to the purple this go round, then we'll see what's available next time.

Same here, I ordered 14PM in Space Black because actually have a 13P Silver haha. But is Silver or Black, no other option!

I'm autistic and get severely and neurotically wound up about color choices to the point where I've actually been having nightmares about it for the past few days. This is a LOT of money and I'll be stuck with my choice - and stuck presenting it to everyone around me - for years. The gravity of that, combined with low confidence in myself, makes it really tough. This year was particularly brutal for me.

If it helps anyone, here was my own personal rationale that lead to me ordering Silver. Sharing this much because I wish more people would do so. It would have really helped me with a lot of these difficult color choices in the past:

Gold - I have this weird hangup about gold-colored things because of reading colonial history so this was a solid nope for me. I do recognize it's not always chosen as a way of celebrating wealth/status symbols though.

Space Black - Apple and black just don't mix. Apple just has no respect for the color. Even when they actually offer a real black at all you have to pair it up with all these white accessories. It's like you are getting this constant, begrudging message of "Okay, we'll give you your stupid black - maybe - but you have bad taste and we really wish you'd just come to your senses and go with white stuff". Went with Space Gray Apple products for years and finally gave up on it.

Deep Purple - Hugely into purple but this is just not my shade of purple and would look terrible with my favorite wallpaper. I badly regret getting the purple iPhone 11 for this reason and am glad to finally be rid of it. Deep Purple also looks too washed out and desaturated to me and I am particularly troubled by the way the camera bump doesn't seem to shift tones in different lighting the same way the rest of the phone does. I think this is the kind of color that looks great in marketing materials but will wear on someone after they use the phone for several years. But I can't really know without seeing it in person. It does sound like this is one's only chance to get it. It's looking like a temporary color that will be gone again with the next iPhone release based on past behavior. Maybe I'm wrong though. It certainly sounds VERY popular.

Silver - Nice and consistent with everything else Apple makes, including the AirPods and the silver Apple Watch, which is the only neutral-colored watch they still offer at this point. I am concerned about the super-shiny stainless steel edges being hard on the eyes when operating the phone naked, as well as the fact that the white camera bump will not look good with as many case colors as a darker camera bump would.

I went with Silver but it was a VERY tough choice. Agonized about it for a long while and still seriously considering returning it to get the Deep Purple one instead. I hope I'll feel better when I see the thing in person.

Yeah I would have recommended silver for you based on your feelings about the other colours

Gorgeous! I have one in a very rare color Boston Green Metallic :) . Thinking about upgrading to an M3 Comp next Spring... we'll seeView attachment 2062593
Ah, that’s a cool color!!! I’m kicking myself for not going with dravit grey, I got the first model year, weren’t a lot of options available at that time! The comp is a beast! My dealer let me hold one for a weekend, nothing like a true M.
