So I had an iPhone 7 Plus for 2 years. I used the iPad 12w charger regularly to charge it and it went down to 83% battery health in around 16 months. I put that down to faster charging.
So when I got my current XS max, I only really charge with the 5w when I can. It’s health is 98% after 12 months.
So I was just wondering, is there anyone out there who regularly fast charges, with 18w charger and has a good battery health 12 months on??

I think nowadays 12w isn’t exactly fast charging, the new Galaxy note 10 can be charged with 45w:)

But to answer your question, I regularly charge my iPhone X with 12w, and when I’m in a hurry I PD charge it. My X is not almost 2 years old and have battery health at 89%, but I have to say most of the time I charge it at 30-40% and unplug it at 80%.

I used to worry so much about battery health but now I’m like, just enjoy the bloody thing and when the time comes I’ll just get the battery replaced by Apple, the phone will be good for another year or two.

I charge my phone with a mix of 5, 12 and 18w bricks, going all the way to 100% and my launch-day X is also on 89% battery life.

My previous phone was a 7+ and is now coming up to 3 years old (my wife has it). It’s on 85% battery health.

You don’t need to take unusual care with the phones, especially when using Apple chargers that have been designed with longevity in mind.

I always use the iPad chargers on my phone. Just plug them in every night. My Xr is still at 100% after a year. Normally never get below 30% on a given day.

IPhone X from launch day. Used a MacBook Pro 15” charger since practically day 1 and I’m sitting at 94% battery health.

I never really worry about battery health as I change the phone every year

I stick with wireless charging most of the time with fast charging every now and then.

After almost two years and near 700 cycles, my iPhone X still has battery health of an incredible 95%.

My girlfriend’s XS which is not even a year old is down to 92% and she is much less of a power user than I am.
