Anyone pick up a i7 17 inch?

What are your impressions? Why did apple make the i7 in the 17 inch bto and not stock like for the 15 inch? Anyone have a breakdown precent sold vs each size 13, 15, to 17?

I called around the 6 Apple Retail Stores in my area on Tuesday and Wednesday looking for a 17" i7 glossy but only found 17" i7 anti-glare. Finally I was told that the 17" i7 glossy would not be carried by the stores and only available via CTO so yesterday I placed my order online.

I've got no idea why Apple decided to make the 17" i7 a custom order - maybe they had limited supplies of i7 chips and rationed them. As for the breakdown of 13"/15"/17" produced I have no idea.

My thought is that the 15 is a much bigger seller than 17 so they put the i7 in it over the 17.

Pick up, no, order, yes. My impressions are that, although it says delivery will be April 16th to April 22nd, I'm pretty sure the 16th is right out at this point.

Haha mine said that too, I dont think they built the 17" inchers until later in the cycle. Mine finally shipped today, FedEx says it will be here Wed, I will post impressions then.
