Anyone pilots out there?

Looking to find out if anyone uses those Aviation headset adapters for "cell phones" with their iPhone. The ones that plug in between the plane's radio/intercom jacks and the headset.

And which ones work...

I know I can buy a Bluetooth headset, but not really into spending $800 right now...
