Anyone play Kairosoft's Venture Town?

I only started playing an hour or two ago.

I have build 4 "areas" so far: Offices, Parks, Housing and Shops.

I can not make any profit!

Any suggestions?

Do they sell game currency for real money? If so, that might be why you can't make a profit.

There's no in-app purchases for Venture Town or any other ways to buy game currency.
