Anyone pre order and reserve at store?

Curious if anyone pre ordered at AT&T or apple AND made a reservation as a backup? Will they auto cancel one since you cant get upgrade price on both? Or will it only matter when you check in at the apple store to pick up phone? Seems like someone could get the low price for two phones.

Reserving does not check eligibility-if the order was processed with either apple or AT&T you will not be eligible for an upgrade. The eligibility is taken away pretty quickly. IF you go to claim you reservation you will have to add a line or pay full price.

I thought you had to type in your phone info right before placing the res. Anyway, I'm sure at checkout in the store they would see you already got the discount from AT&T. But as you said, you could add a line or something

Reserving checked your eligibility at the time you made the reservation. A lot of us when trying to pre-order got sent through to a reservation only path on some tries so we reserved and then pre-ordered later when it finally let us. In our case, now that we received the shipping emails, we'll cancel the reservations.
