I'm toying with the idea exchanging my 16gb for the 64 iphone 6. Sounds like it could be a pain in the arse though. Anyone done it?

If they have the phone you want in stock, shouldn't be hard at all. People have definitely swapped phones, based on threads I've read.

Swapped my 64GB for a 128GB (purchased through AT&T Next) at the Apple store without a problem. Only downside was that I needed to go to the store in person and wait in the walk-in line. I was unable to reserve the phone online.

I plan on doing this on Saturday. 16gb for 64gb 4.7". Hopefully my corporate verizon store has them in stock. If not is it possible to do at an apple store?

I exchanged a 16gb plus for a 128 gb 6. Verizon didn't want to do it they wanted to save the phones for "new" customers. But I insisted and they gave in.

I tried to take back my 128GB for 256GB but they wouldn't let me, so your mileage may vary.

/sarcasm

Thinking about adding a "new line" so I don't have to wait in line and then having them swap it out when I get to the Apple store so I can setup a pick up time.

Has anyone done this?

watch out, they will have to cancel that new line order if you are just exchanging and send you to the wait line.

I guess that answers that....

I hear some people are getting sent to the front for exchanges in some stores.

Maybe just show up and see if I get lucky.
