Got spoiled with my ipad 3 otterbox with the magnetic cover. Anyone modify their mini otterbox cover yet?

didn't work possibly the defender case is too thick on ipad mini.

I was able to take the magnet out of my ipad 3 otterbox defender and went all around the edge of the ipad mini w/defender case on and it didn't work.

Now out of curiosity I have a case for the mini that i know turns it on/off and tried waving that magnet around the edge and nothing happened so maybe the otterbox defender on the mini is just too thick to use a magnet with.

It was worth a shot. :-\
