On a scale from 1 to 10 - 10 being amazing what did u think of today's announcements

I would generously give them a 5

Most of the features I use with my jailbroken iPhone.

iTunes match is useless for most people.

I can't wait for imessage (dumb name) though; finally I can stop using my iPad and iphOne at the same time

Totally sucked - no golden unicorns or iOS tea making facility. Poor show Apple.

Sigh - what did you want them to do?

Im really impressed with the offerings and can't wait to give apple more money.

9/10

Not disappointed because it's what I expected, but I was pretty much underwhelmed. I have no interest in changing devices, I'm built for the Apple ecosystem, but there was nothing really newsworthy today. A jailbroken iPhone could do just about any of these things...save iCloud...for the past year.

iOS 5 is nice, to be sure, but I expect more from WWDC than what was unveiled today. Apple is losing it's flare for the dramatic. Personally, I'm not interested in looking elsewhere, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who might feel like giving another platform a test drive due to today's less than exciting keynote.

All and all, it's a 5.

8/10 I went to a blackberry because I was sick of IOS now I'll be throwing my card back into my 3gs and upgrading to the iphone 5 whenever it is released.

Maybe some innovation? Besides the decade+ old idea of clouds which few care about. Apple didn't get its power by catching up to what other companies already have.

Well I think the reason this was underwhelming for a lot of people is because it seems a good chunk of the big hitters in this keynote were fixing deficiencies.

Personally I really love what saw. No I didn't see alot of surprises, but I considered Android as being fairly equal but based on your own usage most people certainly should prefer one over the other.

Well, this put alot of Android advantages to bed IMO. Even apple just fixing things and adding some already available features is a big deal.

I think a bigger screen is the last big thing to address, but I do think these improvements make iOS and the iPhone #1 again for the mass majority.

Have to admit though, I'm disappointed in the waiting, thats not typical of apple for existing product updates. Should have been in July with Lion IYAM.

I really hope that some additional features come on board, otherwise it doesn't seem to make sense that they are making everyone wait for 3 more months. Facebook integration would have been 1000x more useful than twitter for me, but thats a personal complaint.

I'm really happy none the less with everything except the wait - 8/10

Innovations such as?

I haven't been in the apple world that long, but most things I would say apple does well/better than others rather than innovates. From a software point of view that is.

I think it's a great release that addresses the things in iOS that annoyed me (basically notifications) and added some solid features.

Centralised cloud based storage is, IMO, much better than having a local file system as it achieves the same thing (sharing files between apps) without having to worry about backups, different versions on your phone and your computer, etc, etc.

The new features in Mail are solid improvements, I love the idea of deep twitter integration, reminders are a cool addition and there are some minor but worthy improvements in the camera app and photos app

I don't care if most of these features are available in jailbroken devices as I don't jailbreak and I don't particularly care if they're copies from android either: what I care about is features that Apple are adding to stock iOS and judged on that basis it's definitely a 9/10

I was really impressed with the entire event. It shows clear direction and unification across the entire product line.

9/10 (I docked a point because Fall feels so far away)

As a hardcore jailbreaker since day 1, I'd give them a maximum of 5/10. We still will have to jailbreak because of SBSettings.

I would say 7 out 10. It has some great stuff but I was hoping for better maps and voice integration.

All of the items mentioned today, that I care about, I already have on my 3GS jailbreak. Things like News Stand, Twitter integration and iCloud are worthless to me. (and I'm waiting on all those sucking at the iCloud teet to come back in a year and tell us how it worked out for them - give me a break)

Considering Apple has had a year to work in these minor updates I give them about a 2.5 (and that's just for finally adding tabs to Safari)

9/10. Bloody good show by Apple!

Oddly enough, iMessage has me excited most as I have most of the other features on my Nexus.

It's great to see iOS's notification system grow up either way.

I was kind of surprised/dissapointed they did nothing at all regarding more live icons. Its nice to be able to get the drop down of the weather on the new notifications system, but holy crap its so easy to have a real live icon. It exists right now in Weathericon. Same goes for stocks, how about a simple red or green signal for up and down you could set for a certain stock or SP or Dow, whatever.

6/10

Let me get this straight.......

Major update to the notifications, email, gamecenter, wireless syncing, iCloud syncing, free replacement to mobile me, much improved camera, to do syncing, split keyboard, iMessage, newstand........ is lackluster?

Please show me another update to any other mobile OS that was anywhere close to this one?

5 of 10. Should have included an option for music streaming with iTunes Match. No dramaric changes to the app icon / folder system in iOS, and no widgets or user customizations. The iCloud sync features are nice and I love the WiFi iTunes sync and small things like the iPad split keyboard and some others. Nothing that dramatic and nothing unexpected. Certainly underwhelming, as always though, but a few nice things. But still playing catch-up in a lot of ways.

Wow lame announcement...where the heck are the flying golden unicorns, free porn streaming widgets on the lock screen and iOS magic? **** I cant even pretend that wasnt awesome! This is going to be great! Indent know where to start! 9/10 and not 9.9/10 because they teased us with a fall release....what the hell...I'd at least like to see a 4.5.0 release with some of the minor features that is those that won't take away from the magic of the fall release..

I would have preferred to see a sandboxes documents folder and truly compliant web browser that allows uploads for more than photos... Than most of what was shown.

I agree theres not much innovation but some good refinements.

It doesn't stop me from wanting to try android.

to all the idiots who say you jailbreak so who cares. the big deal is that now we dont have to jailbreak to a much less stable os. this is now built into apple's much better running, secure, stable os.

I'd rate it a 8.5/10, I would give it a 10/10 if Springboard and complete Voice Control were added into iOS. But overall i'm very happy.

Funny how ignorant some people are, right?
For the longest time i've heard "the next iOS should have x,y,z features from jailbreaking". And now that Apple has done this, people are complaining "yawn i can do this on my jailbroken iPhone". Stay classy people.

Now, i can safely say iOS > Android OS.
