Just replaced my first screen on an old 6s. Worked fine, but there is a white field appearing when tapping the upper area edge, almost like its not attached properly. Anyone know what cause this, or how to fix it?

Most likely a defective display. Most 3rd party screens are cheaply made and have all sorts of issues like the one in your picture. Return it and get a new one or remove the screen without disconnecting it to see if it has the same issue without it being installed completely.
