I was successfully getting an exchange for my iphone 4. However, I was unlucky and the last iphone was replaced to the guy before me. I was told that an order was place for my exchange and they would call me when it available which he emphasized he does not know when that would be.

Anyone requested replacement from Genius bar but run out of iphones?

this is exactly what happened to me. i went to apple store at 4:30PM and they gave last replacement to guy in front of me. they said they will reserve one for me and would call me. got the call 7PM the same day.. lol
yeah my yellow spot has not gone away so I finally went to the apple store. They replaced it no questions asked, but I have to wait 1-3 days for it to come in. It's ok, they were very nice and helpful. Hopefully my new one will not have a pee spot on the screen 
yah i got my phone replaced due to my home button sliding around alot and not responding sometimes...they said itll take 5-7 days for it to come in...but i got it the next day.
