Anyone running High Sierra on a 2009 MBP or older

Per Apple - High Sierra can only run on 2010 MBP's or older. I realize there is a patch available that allows you to run HS on MBP's as old as 2008. Any of you out there doing this? Using the patch?

If so, how does it run on those older machines?
