Hello all. I'm looking at having a dedicated TopazLabs photo machine that will probably run 24/7 for a couple weeks while it burns through my family's old early 2000s digital photography.

I have decided on two candidate machines I'd like to use:
1. Base 8GB M1 Mini
2. 2010 Mac Pro running Windows equipped with a Nvidia Tesla K40

I figure the software would run best in GPU mode where it looks like the Pro would win out but I'm curious what people think of the M1 Mini for this project. The GPU would be maxed for days at a time while it batch converts and upscales.
All photos will be stored on an external disk so the internal SSD shouldn't be used much.
