I have a device which has a universal dock, but it's black. I want to put an iPhone4 in it. Any option other a white adapter + paint?

There are several black ipod/iphone dock cable options from 3rd party vendors. meritline even has some for under $1 if you catch them on sale. They're not as durable as the stock cable, but they work.

switcheasy produces them in black and white and usually come with the purchase of a Capsule case. they're sized to fit an iPhone while in one of their Capsule cases, but it's large enough to accommodate most other cases on the market. dunno if they sell them separately tho.

Griffin sells black dock adapters for $2

But if you need one that works with a case, buy a switcheasy case, capsule rebel or trim on eBay. They are $10 or $15 respectively and include two adapters, port covers, screen shields and the case.
