I’ve had my 11PM since early December 2019 and aside from dropping down to 85% Battery health it’s been and continues to be great!!

I had no interest in the 12Pro but have been tempted for a month or so by the 13Pro

The 13PM is just too big so last weekend I bought a 13Pro to test drive for a fortnight!!

The 120hz screen is fantastic and the additional zoom on the telephoto lens is a bonus but I’m thinking just how good my 11PM was and tempted to stick with it!

It’s weird going back to a slightly smaller screen with the 13Pro but I’ll have to do it eventually as the 14PM is not going to be any smaller than the 13PM

Anyone else tried the 13Pro and ended up back in their 11PM??…if so why?

I like big phones so for me the smaller 13 Pro is a no go, simply tried it and 13 Pro Max in store and preferred the 13PM by far but at this point I am waiting for the 14PM, the 13 Pro is a great device but I still feel it’s not a big enough step from my 11 Pro Max hence I am skipping 13PM in my upgrade this year and going for 14PM if it continues to have a >4300mAh battery like 13 PM.

That’s just me though.

It sounds like you’d be better off on your 11 PM and just seeing what come in September to if you still enjoy your 11 PM.

I purposely went with the 11 Pro Max in February 2021. Despite the T-Mobile rep trying to sell me on the 12 PM and knowing that the 13 PM was coming at the time, I chose the 11 PM over all that.

First, I didn't want 5G. I went through one network upgrade rollout in 2012 to 2016 (Sprint, LTE) and suffered immensely with coverage, data speeds and connectivity issues. My current carrier (T-Mobile) is in the process of rolling out 5G now, nationwide. I do not care to repeat my LTE experience with 5G. I will wait until it is mature. Considering my best LTE speed test was 236mbps down I am okay with waiting. I have no LTE issues in my area.

So, price-wise that made the 11 PM cheaper than the 12 PM and it meant I could get the max capacity of the 11 PM (512GB). Whenever we upgrade I get the largest capacity Apple offers for that model at the time. We do not upgrade very often (ever 2.5 to 5.5 years) so I get what I want.

We'll probably end up upgrading next with the iPhone 15 or whatever it will be called. I think by that time any 5G network issues should all be worked out and I won't have to experience the pain some T-Mobile customers are going through now.

Nail on the head especially regarding the network upgrade rollout, it is the most painful thing, people simply do not talk about it enough. My 2nd phone is 5G and I have noticed that lately 5G coverage has been wonky, so 5G is definitely not going to be a buying point for me for many years to come, when I get my first 5G iPhone I will probably turn 5G off immediately.

Ha! I just saw an article on Macworld which showed that the 11 Pro Max processor is more powerful than the just released Samsung Galaxy S 22.

If it wasn’t for the 120hz screen, I woulda stayed with the 11 Pro Max. It’s still a great phone.

Apple ruling geekbench is nothing new. The A13 is still powerful for today. Is that for Exynos or Snapdragon S22+?

I’m on the 12 PM since Jan 2021 and I usually do upgrade yearly. Being tired of a heavy phone, I so wanted to get the regular 13 Pro this past year, but I found nothing compelling enough about the 13 series to make me upgrade. hopefully this year when I upgrade to the 14, it’ll seem more of an upgrade than doing it yearly. And I’m still thinking regular Pro instead of Max this time. We shall see

I wanted the size and was thinking te regular 13. I have the 11 Mac. It's just boring to me but I keep it.

I would've stuck to 11 Pro except for the 4GB RAM. Every time I open the Camera app pretty much everything reloads. With 13 Pro I don't see that nearly as prevalent. And not to mention the ProMotion. Once you've gotten used to it you can't go back.

Nope the upgrade to a Qualcomm modem alone was worth the upgrade plus the cameras. The hell with the 11pm

I ended up taking the 13Pro back yesterday, I preferred the screen size of the 11PM, the 13Pro 120hz screen and the 3x zoom on the telephoto lens was nice but not worth the £650 upgrade from the 11PM

The 13PM is just too big especially with the square edges, strangely I can hold the 11PM one handed better than the 13Pro..probably due to the curved edges
