Anyone successfully swapped in a higher res lcd in a 15" MBP?

I just bought a MBP and I'm already itching to mod it, I can't help it but I drool over the high resolution displays of other laptops. I've seen 1680x1050 and even 1900x1200 15.4" displays! It makes me sad that Apple is still stuck on 1440x900. So has anyone attempted this feat of swapping in a higher res lcd from Dell or any other manufacturers? I wanna know how it went because i'm really tempted right now...

Now if someone could figure out how to swap out for an LED hi-res for the 15"!!
