Anyone take a 3G Apart yet?

If I take the two screws out of the bottom, will the chrome bezel come right out? I wish to sand and paint the chrome bezel only, I have a White 3G iPhone.

Looks like after everything else does... I don't want to paint it that bad....

iphone 3g here, display glass not perfectly even around the edges, if you push the left top down it gets lower than the aluminium bezel, does anybody think I could solve the problem and avoid future problems by opening it?

I was hoping that if I took the two screws out that the first thing to come off would be the Bezel. Looks like it's the last thing.....
