Anyone tested the GPS on the new 3G?

I just got my 16GB today and tried out the maps to pinpoint my position. It got me closer than my first iphone but was still on the wrong side of town. Granted its a small town but if I was trying to track my way to my street as a visitor I wouldnt be impressed.

anyone have any better luck?
